I have made a point of trying never to offend others by how I share my faith. In the ears of a soul hurting with shame even a puffed up religious word or two can bring a deeper sense of isolation. Yet, at the other extreme of Unfortunate is to withhold a drink to someone who is thirsty. So on this blog as in my private practice at MasterCare I will use my judgment about when and how to share spiritual things. For example, today it seems good to just share this prayer that arose this morning. I hope it will find its way to your mind and into your heart when you need it most.

to remember in the midst of all things that there is true cause to dance.
And Son of God, if it seems that I cannot dance today,
will you give me the strength to stand in confidence that you are truly here,
that you are in all places and fill all things—whether I feel you or not?
And Holy Spirit, if it seems that I cannot stand,
help me to sit in peace,
breathing into myself the still waters of the sea you calmed for your disciples?
And Holy Trinity, if it seems that I cannot summon the strength to hold up even my own frame to sit, will you make me to lie down in green pastures beside still waters?
That will be enough, O'God. Let it be so.
